This is an original map published in 1862 by Bonsall & Smedley of the Philadelphia City sections from Lehigh Avenue south to Girard Avenue and part of the Kensington area.  It is from the first sanctioned survey of the city done in 1860. The hand colored lithograph map sheet is larger than the usual atlas map at 35 by 23 inches. Frankford Road (Avenue now) is along the bottom of the sheet and comes into Lehigh Avenue at Episcopal Hospital at lower right corner!

The map is quite clean and bright and looks like the half sheet photos (not toned like the full sheet photo).

Please see the other maps from this atlas I am listing on ebay.
