18th century, Iron. 6 1/4" double edged recurved scorpion form blade. The hilt with broad decoratively reeded and beaded knuckle guard which itself serves as a weapon. Stacked finial and contoured hand grip. The blade made separately and sandwich mounted as typical for Indopersian weapons, as it is of a different, harder iron composition.  See Stone fig.146 #2 for a near identical example. Brown patina with scattered pitting as expected.
