Up for sale is the Dr. Seuss classic The King's Stilts, a hardcover Grolier Book Club edition, published by Random House. The King's Stilts is one of the few children's books written by Dr. Seuss in prose, absent his trademark rhyme. He proves himself as able to delight us in that format, however - and of course, he also keeps us captivated with his unique illustrations.

Large book - 12 x 9 3/8 inches - Good condition. Covers and spine tips have heavy edge wear. Covers have light stains and smudging. All pages intact. No tears or writing. Pages have light foxing. (dust spots)  Copyright stated. The book boards are sunshine-yellow with dark red-stamped lettering on the cover. The copyright page shows 'The Cat In The Hat Comes Back' which was published in 1958. This is probably the first edition, but a later printing. (around 1958)
