Lead ship of a class of heavy cruisers of its name of the Italian Navy, the Regia Marina. Saw action in the Mediterranean in the early part of WWII. Participated in and was sunk by British battleships and cruisers at the battle of Cape Matapan.
Plastic model kit contains 249 parts. Highly detailed upper deck, gun turrets, and superstructure. Includes photo-etched parts. Full hull model. Approximately 18 inches in length. Upper deck and parts molded in gray; hull in red; photo-etched brass railings. Instructions and decals.
