All pieces are hand painted by the artist and the all the birds are slight different making it more vivid and interesting. They are truly beautifully decorated with blues, yellows and brown leaves. Birds are on either side of the spout, among leaves and scrolls, with a leaf shaped handle. The base is marked L' Assainato Grottaglie at bottom. Grottaglie in southern Italy has been well known for ceramics since the middle ages.
