I am offering for sale this EXTRA FINE S.C. COOK & Richards 5/8 Grecian Ovolo Triple Boxed Bead Complex Molding Plane INV#CF26w

This is a EXTRA FINE S.C. COOK & Richards Grecian Ovolo triple boxed bead molding plane. S.C. Cook made planes in New Brunswick, NJ in 1825-45. There is a lot of New Jersey provenance here!!!! It is in super clean condition with a great triple boxwood bead. There is the S.C. Cook New Brunswick, NJ mark on toe & the name Richards. On the heel there is the No 5/8. The wedge is original, still tight and secure. The plane has very minor marks from toolbox and still it is in excellent condition for its age with a fine finish, feel and patina. One bead at heel end has a small nick (see photo). The plane measures 9-3/8" L. x 2-1/8" W. NOTE: The cast steel cutter stem to tip only measures: 4-1/8" L (but it still has a lot of life left in blade for sharpening and the wedge still holds it tight and secure, 1-3/8" W. It has some pitting but it is extremely sharp. It is in "as found" great condition right out of someones lifelong tool collection.
