For your consideration is the circa 1890 miniature MESSENGER GAME by J.H. Singer of New York City.  This seldom seen diminutive game measures 3-1/8 inches by 4-1/8 inches.  It is complete with game board, spinner and wooden playing pieces in the original box.  It's hard to believe that this tiny version of a "rags to riches" game has survived over 125 years, albeit in rough condition.

CONDITION: The game is COMPLETE with original game board, spinner and wooden pieces in the original box.  The board was originally a single piece that was folded to fit in the box but after many years of use, it has separated into 8 pieces.  The metal arrow is no longer attached to the cardboard spinner.  The four wooden pieces are in very good condition.  The box cover is still colorful with clear printing.  Two long aprons of the box top are lacking.  The box bottom shows early corner repairs that are no longer fully intact.  PLEASE MOUSE OVER THE PHOTOGRAPHS FOR CONDITION DETAILS.

Note:  I am a game collector with, among other things, a specialty in Horatio Alger-type "Rags to Riches" games like this one.  I am listing some of the duplicates from my collection.  See the others I will be listing this week.
