Alum Block How To Use
An alum block is a crystal-like stone that is moistened with cold water and gently rubbed over the shaved area to act as an antiseptic for razor burn. It can also help to stop bleeding of small nicks and cuts. The Alum block also has antiseptic properties that not only cool and refresh the skin after shaving, but also act as a balm.
Simply wet the block, rub gently onto the shaved area, and then leave to dry on the face.
If you are applying a moisturiser or after shave balm, splash water on the face, pat dry with a towel and apply your after shave balm or moisturiser.

The alum block is the original antiseptic aftershave which contains mineral salts that were originally used by the Egyptians more than four thousand years ago for its healing and antiseptic properties.

After use, clean the alum block thoroughly with water, dry it off and store in a dry place where air circulates. If you allow the block to remain moist or exposed to moisture it will simply dissolve
Tips on using an Alum Block
If you have dry or sensitive skin then we do not recommend using alum blocks as the minerals used are astringent which means that they draw moisture out of the skin.

After showering or washing the face, gently apply an Alum Block on the affected area.
The Alum Block will dry the skin and spots leading to a better appearance. Don't use the Alum Block on the face daily as it could lead to the skin over compensating by producing more oil.
