Q: How do I know if one of the hard drives has failed?
If one of the hard drives is damaged/failed, the corresponding LED will turn red and the hard drive enclosure will emit a warning sound (beep).
Q: How to replace the hard disk?
If you want to replace the hard drive in the enclosure with a new one, or if one of the hard drives is damaged/failed, follow these steps:
1. Locate the hard drive (bad or to be replaced). Eject the hard drive enclosure from the computer, then power off the hard drive enclosure.
2. Pull out the hard drive enclosure door. First format the new hard drive on another device. Then insert the new hard drive into its original location and open the hard drive enclosure.
Q: How do I add new hard drives to the hard drive enclosure?
1. Safely eject the hard drive enclosure from the computer, then power off the hard drive enclosure.
2. If the hard disk you are adding is brand new, please format it on another device. Then insert it into the hard drive enclosure. Do not change the original hard disk order.
Q: Can I connect the device to the computer through a hub?
We recommend that you connect the hard drive enclosure directly to the computer, as the connection through a hub may be unstable.
