Vintage late 70's Morris W 50 with case. The construction and looks of this wonderful guitar are based on Martin D41 this expertly hand-crafted W-50 has cosmetics of the Martin D-41, yet with a three-piece back of the D-35 model.Tonewoods include an X-braced Sitka spruce top,Brazilian rosewood sides, and a rosewood back with a central third of flamed chestnut, paired with a one-piece mahogany neck and rosewood fingerboard, Like the Martin D41 has beautiful genuine Abalone inlays, and Mother of Pearl trapezoid inlays on fretboard.Tonal profile has plenty of low end kick and a shimmering, clear top end, with cut through mids that suits fingerpicking style and bluegrass superbly. It’s a balanced sound; versatile and responsive to user inputs. This Morris is in great condition except for an accident to the back and a luthier installed a brass plate onto the hole the plate was later covered with a tin  Legends sign which gives it a lot of character and has never effected the structural integrity or sound, which is awesome with tremendous voice and sustain the Brazilian Rosewood is the best I have ever seen on any guitar , so darkgrained it almost appears black. It is a dreadnaught size and weighs 5lbs 6oz, with 11Gauge Elixer strings and easy-playing action. The tweed hard case also is still in really good condition(a few travel scuffs fom many years of service).
