Antique/Vintage Indian Nested Set of Five Turned Wooden Lacquered Boxes / Pots

Set of 5 pots, probably dating from the second half of the 19th century to the beginning of the 20th. I have seen a number of suggested uses such as spice boxes, Kum Kum Boxes but I guess they could be used for whatever you want and still display well even with the damage. The inner pots have kept their bright colours.

I have included a number of photos and these probably describe the item better than I can and form part of the description. Everyone has different considerations when purchasing items and if you need any further information, please feel free to contact me and I will try to help.

Condition: None of the boxes are perfect and they are showing signs of age. Three of the lids have cracked and have been glued back together. There is the odd small spot of damage to the inside of the rims. The outer box is discoloured and missing part of its top label and lacquer but please see photos..

Size: Largest 14cm base diameter, 15cm high. Combined weight 909grams.

Please feel free to ask any questions but please please ask through Ebay. Unfortunately, selling on Ebay generates a lot of spam and dubious emails and we now only respond to questions placed directly through Ebay. We will try to answer questions as soon as possible. There are times where we may not be able to reply within 24 hours but we will reply well before the listing ends.

Packing - We pack to ensure the item arrives with you undamaged. If you have specific packing instructions, please contact us before paying as this may have an impact on the price, as both an increase in weight or size can increase the cost of delivery.

We do try to recycle boxes and other materials wherever possible and will mostly use newspaper for padding out, if it does not have any impact on the cost of postage.
