HP Microserver Gen8 Set of brackets / holders

These are 3D printed, in fetching Prusa orange.

HP Microserver Gen8 SSD drive mounting bracket

Pictures show this installed in my server. Bracket can hold 2 x 2.5" spinning rust drives or SSDs. Mounting is with the existing 2 screws holding the PSU to its rear mounting bracket. You may need some longer screws, mine were just long enough. They are 3/8" long 6-32 UNC screws which are standard 3.5" & 5.25" HDD screws, but longer. These screws are a pain to get to, but the L shaped tool you get with the Microserver just about fits. I am now including 2 of these 3/8" 6-32 screws, but they are Hex head, not Torx.

Drive mounting is best done with countersunk screws, as the back of the bracket is flat on the PSU. These are countersunk & printed at  3.5mm for clearance. 8x M3 x 6mm screws are included for mounting your drives.

HP Microserver Gen8 DVD drive bracket.

You may need to do a bit of filing & hole enlarging / drilling, to get this to fit on your chosen DVD drive.
Holes are spaced 32mm apart, which appears to be the hole pattern for most SATA slim drives & pre drilled to 2.5mm for clearance.
Most SATA 9.5mm to 10.5mm high drives should fit. I also had to file the edges of the DVD drive draw or tray as well, on my drive, as the hole in the HP Server has slightly rounded edges. & I used a 10.5mm high drive. I think a 9.5mm high drive is the HP recommended size.
2x M2 x 5mm & 2x M2x 4mm screws are included. Use which ever works for your drive. Start with the shortest screws first.

HP Microserver Gen8 front door filter holder

Pictures show this installed in my server. Filter is standard kitchen extractor hood filter charcoal or carbon foam, thickness of foam that fits is around 5mm. The screws to fit this, should already be in the door of your server.
