Frankenthal Porcelain was founded in 1755 in the city of Frankenthal, Germany. The company was famous for its elaborate figurines. The company’s pieces are recognized by their arched bases and doll-like faces. Based on the porcelain mark, shown in the photo, this piece was made in the 1950's.

It features a man and woman are dancing minuet likely from the Renaissance 
to Victorian period in traditional colorful dress
Hand painted and decorated with delicate lace, flowers and gold gilt
Measurements approx. 10” tall x 8” wide x 51/2” deep
Good old condition overall:
- some lace loss, which is fairly common for all lace figurines
- quite a lot of old dust, even on a man's face
- a man has lost his little fingers on both hands
- all the women's fingers are preserved, which is rare
