Wonderful Fertility Akuaba Doll Statue of the FANTE tribe from Ghana.

The Akuaba's of the Fante are different. The difference lies in the shape, the heads of the Fante are high rectangular shaped, those of the Ashanti are round or oval.

Also these figurines are used by women who are not able to conceive. The woman caries the figurine in her loincloth like a real child. 

Beautifully made, It has a beautiful light brown patina.

Good condition, but with possible signs of use. Reparation on the right foot. Please study the photos well.
