This Antique Lap Desk is about 13 ½” by 9 ½” with a 3” height.  The interior opens to a slanted writing surface with spaces for inks, pens and pencils. It has a tiny side lock that held one lid under the other to secure the desk.  I do not have the key.    The desk has the original paper interior and a straightedge with some basic pens. There are no inks. The writing surface felt was replaced; the fabric is also used as a hinge and requires closing the lid carefully. The finish has had a recent over coat without disturbing the original patina. It is sturdy for use and display. I guarantee it to be old and as described.
