A nice summer issue tunic for a General of Division (Major General) French Army. Some minor service wear but in very good overall condition. The 3 rank stars are correctly sewn into the sleeves. This came with other uniforms and effects of General Bernard Jacques le Seigneur. Amongst other roles he was Adjutant to the Governor of the Paris Military Region, Commander of the 3rd Army Corps and of the 1st Military Region in 1982. The top button on the tunic is for Marine Infantry since he served in that corps after being commissioned. The other buttons are the pattern worn by a General.  

The tunic measures 16 inches across the shoulders, 20 inches across the chest (so about a 40 inch chest), the sleeves are 22.5 inches in length and the tunic is 29 inches long when measured down the back.
