Up for bid is a fine little Indian silver hexagonal box, age
unknown. The box is 1 ¾ inches wide from
point to point by 2 1/4 inches tall and weighs 56 grams. The domed hinged lid has a hinged hasp on the
front. The lid and body are decorated
with fine decoration in low relief.
There are no marks; it does test as silver.
NOTE: I am selling a large accumulation of Indian silver,
some Hindu and some secular. Some pieces
appear to be quite old, others seem newer.
I am not an expert on Hindu practices or traditions; any errors in the
descriptions are unintentional.
Condition on the piece is good. There are just normal signs of use. A nice piece of Indian silver.
