This listing is for a Leblanc (France) "Rapsodie" model Bb soprano clarinet. This is an entry pro level instrument. It is made of grenadilla wood. The serial number is D68453 (matching on both main joints). It has a brass Leblanc logo embedded in each of the four sections

This instrument is in excellent physical condition. There are no cracks, nor any evidence of past crack repairs. There are no chips to the tenons or tone hole chimneys. The wood is in excellent condition with a tight grain, and it is nice and clean. The tenon and bell rings are not loose. The key work is all operating as it should. There is light tarnish, and very minimal wear to the silver plating. The pads are in overall good condition, and sealing properly. Some of the pads on the upper joint have darkened slightly, which is quite normal since they are on 'closed' keys, and tend to get some bore oil on them. Naturally, these pads wear out a bit quicker on any instrument, so these might need to be replaced a few years down the road, but for now it is good. The corks are also in good shape. There is no 'wobbling' of the joints due to compressed corks. The instrument is nice and clean and plays great from top to bottom.

This instrument comes with its original "Woodwind Company" (a Leblanc subsidiary) mouthpiece. This is a pro level hard rubber piece. It shows some discoloration/fading (as hard rubber tends to do), but is in otherwise excellent condition. The facing is perfectly smooth, and there are no tooth indentations on the beak. It comes with a cap and ligature, as shown. All pieces have been cleaned/sanitized.

This instrument comes in its original plastic shell case. It is in good solid condition, with no damage to the plastic shell. The inside is odor free, with normal light wear and tear.
