Chinese Yaozhou Celadon Ceramic Bottle Vase, Northern Song, Shaanxi Province - a high-fired bottle form with narrowed base, bulbous body, high shoulder, narrow neck and flared flange mouth. The body with carved design of free spirited, deep and angled scrolling tendrils, all covered in a translucent celadon ash based glaze pooling at the neck and within the carving, stopping short of the well carved yellowish biscuit foot with countersunk base. 
The glaze crackled and with an apparent lighter coloured kiln flash shadow from the firing to one side of the body.
