France and Son Danmark; Mobilia: Snekkersten; 1959; 26cm ,Danish English French German language; 77 pages softback


Rare Danish Mobilia magazine special issue on France and Son published in 1959. It contains an overview of the company the process of manufacture, photographs of the furniture which is interspersed with abstract sculptures. Like all of the Mobilia series the production of the magazine is innovative and of high quality. Contains work by the following: Ole Wanscher, Kindt-Larsen, Greta Jalk, Sigvard Bernadotte, Finn Juhl, Hvidt & Molgaard, Arne Vodder and Inger Klingenberg. I can find two copies in public libraries both in Denmark, the only reference to this Mobilia issue I can find is in James France's monograph of his father company France & Son British pioneer of Danish furniture published in 2016.

Condition: In white paper wraps so the cover and contents are in fine condition. Slight age toning to the page edges on interior pages.
