Rectangular Embroidery and Cross Stitch Frames
Superb
quality 10mm deep Nurge frames which can be used for Hand Stitching or Free
Machine Stitching.
They are
available in 4 sizes with the internal working area dimensions measuring:

= 95mm x 110mm (approx. 3 ¾” x 4 ¼”) ~ #2 = 145mm x 165mm (approx. 5 ¾” x
6 ½”)
#3 =
195mm x 220mm (approx. 7 ¾” x 8 ¾”) ~ #4 = 250mm x 280mm (approx. 9 ¾” x 11”)
The inner
side of the frame has a 'set' in the moulding, which is a raised ridge on the
inside of the outer ring which sits inside a groove on the outside of the inner
ring. This enables the material to be stretched tightly and held securely
without sliding after tightening the adjusting screw allowing the material
fabric to remain tight and taut whether stitching by hand or machine.

Embroidery
Needles

Different size packs of embroidery needles (also known as Crewel Needles) are
also available in this listing. Each pack contains 16 needles and in the
following options:
In
comparison to general sewing ~ Embroidery (Crewel) needles tend to have a
longer eye to enable easier threading of multiple embroidery threads and
thicker yarns.
As a
general guide, needle sizing is referred to by its wire gauge number. The lower
the number, the thicker the needle. For example, a pack of 3/9 would be an
assortment of 16 needles ranging between size 3 and 9. A pack of size 8 would
be all 16 needles in size 8 and is quite a thin diameter needle compared to a
size 3.
