The Edale 2 is made from 8oz Cotec, a Merlin-exclusive wax cotton fabric that is half the weight but twice the strength of traditional waxed cotton. The abrasion resistant outer is backed up by a full kit of D3O armour, including back protector. The Edale 2 has an impressive CE Level AA rating.
The removable thermal liner of the Edale 2 makes use of Outlast temperature-regulating technology which in our experience makes a huge difference in its effectiveness and truly extends the jacket’s usability into the colder months. The Humax waterproof membrane offers vastly improved breathability over the original Edale and will keep you comfortably dry in inclement weather.
For anyone after a three quarter length, wax cotton riding jacket to nail the classic British look: you should pay close attention to this one!
