I am always impressed by the elaborate details in these tiny Victorian era buttons.  This is a set of 12 little waistcoat buttons with an approximate 5/16" diameter.  Although they are just over 3/8" across, the brass is very elaborately stamped and cut forming a sort of bezel setting over the mother of pearl centers.  The buttons are backed with black painted steel backs which give the buttons a shank style attachment.  Even the tiny mother of pearl inserts are incised with a circle.  I will be listing other early buttons from this estate.
