This mixed media work takes an alternative view of the fruit bowl. The banana, pineapple, orange and apple seem to dance beyond the boundaries of the vessel. Two flowers appear to both be in the bowl, but perhaps are the bowl's design. The wash of blue over the scene further abstracts the perspective. Rectangular shapes that you imagine to be windows are in the distance.
As framed: 18" x 17.375" Artwork is 12" x 10.75"
The artist is identified on the front side as "James M." The back is a mark that identifies this as an early work of the artist. Pre-K, 1999, age 5.
Work is nicely matted in a painted blue frame.
The glass and artwork are in good condition. There's some debris - such as a dog hair - that is currently trapped under the glass. Wood frame has light wear.
