Offered is this vintage soft cover baseball yearbook from the 1956 Cincinnati Redlegs, during the period when the team preferred "Redlegs" to "Reds", due to the connection of "Reds" to Communists during the Cold War. The yearbook contains some highlights of the previous season as well as data, statistics and dozens of black and white photos of the staff, each player and more. Some of the stars on this team included Ted Kluszewski, who has signed the book under his photo (see first two photos), Gus Bell, Smoky Burgess and Joe Nuxhall. A rookie Curtis Flood is also included, signed directly out of high school. Kluszewski's autograph in a yearbook may be a rare find; at the time of original listing I could not find another yearbook with his autograph for sale on eBay.

The yearbook is approx. 10 5/8" x 8 3/8" and contains 48 pages. It has not been professionally graded but I estimate it to be in fair to good condition. The cover has no tears, but does have some surface wear, some marks and light soiling. There is tape along the spine that appears to have been placed long ago. Despite the tape the pages are disconnected from the cover, although they are well-connected to each other. I see no missing or torn pages. They have yellowed slightly. I see no writing in the book other than Kluszewski's autograph.
