Beautiful Contemporary Set of 2 Fiesta HLC Fiesta Fiestaware Tom & Jerry Ceramic Mugs in Scarlet Red, which color was launch with the Fiesta New Line by Homer Laughlin in 2004 and still in production.
Each Mug stands 3 1/2" high x 3 5/8" wide. They are dishwasher, oven, and microwave safe. Made of fully vitrified lead-free china with a color glaze and is Made in the USA. They are in very good used condition free of any chips or cracks. In wonderful condition and the glaze is still beautiful! Perfect to pair with really any other color of fiesta, would look beautiful on display in any kitchen or add a pop of color in any coffee nook.
There are two lines of Fiesta, the Vintage line that was introduced to the American public in 1936, at the Pittsburgh China & Glass Show. The collection was so popular that more than a million pieces were produced by the second year of manufacturing. The beautiful shaped Art Deco dinnerware was wildly popular until the 1960's when cheaper overseas ceramic dinnerware started to dominate the marketplace, the line was discontinued in 1972. As Fiesta nostalgia grew in the 1980's, the high-end New York City department store Bloomingdale's saw an opportunity. Representatives from Bloomingdale's approached the Homer Laughlin China Company and, in 1986, Bloomingdale's released a new line of Fiesta pottery with new shapes and glazes, and, of course, new colors: Apricot, Rose, White, Cobalt and Black. The modern line of Fiesta ware (sometimes called "post-1986") releases new colors almost every year and also discontinues colors regularly, meaning that some of the post-1986 colors are still limited and collectible
Vintage and antique items have been loved and used by the previous owner so please expect for there to be some imperfections. If there are any major imperfections such as age cracks, rust, chips, etc I will do my best to list them. I will combine shipping if you buy multiple items when I can.
