This 1991 Gary Fisher Montare frame and fork set is being sold in as-is vintage condition with the parts you see pictured. The paint color is hard to capture on camera but it seems to appear black under some lighting and gives a blue shimmer under brighter light. It's a very nice effect. Please see the last picture to see what I mean. Included:
- Tange Double Butted Cro-Mo tube frame
- Cro-Mo fork
- Alloy YST headset
- Gary Fisher handlebars 180g butted alloy
- Gary Fisher stem
- Shimano Deore DX cantilever brakes (BR-M650)
- Shimano STI brake levers
- Shimano Rapidfire SIS shifters
- Shimano Deore DX front derailleur
Note that the shifters were shifting but were very stiff which indicates they likely need to be overhauled or repaired.
Frame specs:
- Seat tube length (c-c) = 16 inches
- Top tube length (c-c) = 21.3 inches
- Standover height (when assembled) = 29.2 inches
From the manufacturer:
"The Montare's radical chrome-moly frame geometry directly converts the rider's energy to the trail with maximum efficiency when riding in or out of the saddle. A steep head angle, short fork offset, long top tube and short chain stays make this freeclimber extremely responsive to weight transfer. ... Exceptional mud clearance."
