The Swiss DAV 3021 automatic movement in its screwed stainless steel case keeps perfect time on the way down. Scratch-resistant, anti-glare sapphire crystal guarantees a clear view of the tidily designed dial with its 15-minute scale on the bezel inlay to provide orientation in an emergency ascent. And thanks to the extension to the stainless steel strap with a safety clasp, the DAVOSA Argonautic BG Automatic can be easily worn on top of a wetsuit. The state-of-the-art Super-LumiNova BG W9 luminous pigment ensures exceptional luminous properties. This material has been applied to the figures and hands, and now for the first time to the 15-minute scale and all the figures on the ceramic bezel. Under natural light, this best-in-class luminous pigment appears white; in the dark it shines brightly and clearly in clear blue. Thanks to a manual helium escape valve, a controlled equalisation of pressure inside the watch can be achieved when ascending to the surface. Moreover, the valve at 10 o’clock has been technically optimised and is now clearly identifiable thanks to the helium symbol on the crown face.
With the new Argonautic Lumis, perfect readability is guaranteed at any time of day without an external light source. Absolute reliability and functionality are further features of the iconic diving watch from the Swiss manufacturer DAVOSA. The diving watch specialist first launched the Argonautic Lumis a decade ago. It now appears technologically and visually revamped in its 3rd generation. 66% improved luminosity So-called tritium gas light sources, or GTLS (Gaseous Tritium Light Sources) are located on the numerals and hands of the Argonautic Lumis. Not only are they particularly safe, they also guarantee the watch wearer at least fifteen years of constant luminosity - without external energy supply. Compared to the previous DAVOSA model, the current light sources are 66% more powerful. In addition, they glow green in the dark, a colour that is particularly well perceived by the human eye under poor lighting conditions.
