Alhazred and is over 1000 pages long. There are no known surviving copies. H.P. Lovecraft said it came

to him in a dream. Lovecraft translates the Necronomicon to mean means 'An Image of the Law of the

Dead’, a better etymology would be 'A Book Classifying the Dead’. The Necronomicon appears in story

after story. The events surrounding the Necronomicon take place behind closed doors, in sporadic

fragments, with only our imagination fueling our fears. The true power of the Necronomicon lies within

the mystery of the book itself. Lovecraft never wrote a copy.
