Good to very good in about very good dustjacket. Dustjacket has minor chipping and edgewear all around. Front flap is clipped at the top. Back flap has a large clip out of the bottom half. All 4 corners of the book have slight bumps/dog ears. Clean interior text with no underlining or highlighting and no previous owner

names , notes, annotations or gift inscriptions.

The significant condition issue is that the second front flyleaf page is starting to separate from the book and there is a 3 inch tear along the seam. Also , the back hinge is intact , but the front hinge is starting to separate. Overall, a solid copy of a scarce book.

Volume 3 contains Deadlock , Revolving Lights and The Trap. These late 1930s Knopf editions of Richardson are as scarce as hen’s teeth. Even the later 1960s British hardcover editions are very scarce. This is priced at a steep discount due to the weak front hinge and the tear in the second flyleaf page.
