2023 P JEFFERSON NICKEL  Multiple error coin. Obv and Rev Clashed Dies Including a confirmed Doubled Die Reverse attributed WDDR-045 which has doubling in 5 different places. The Clash is much like the Atypical Die Clash 2016 ADC-5c-2016P-01 on maddieclashes.com. This happens when a planchet is struck after the obverse and reverse collide without a planchet between. Some elements of each die are transposed onto each other. The coins struck after that have this new design until retired or polished away

This coin is a Later Die State of the WDDR-045.  The obverse has a die dent going from near the rim, through the forehead and eyebrow to the top of his eye.  This die dent is similar to the die dent on WDDR-036 Stage B reverse where Billy Ribar refers to these as die dents, die gouges and a "heavy impression of an unknown source!" I have not submitted one of these but if you would like to, I do not mind if you wanted credit on the site for the Stage B.

This was noted on the WDDR-003,WDDR-015, WDDR-036 and WDDR-063. Being my submission of the WDDR-036 was deemed Stage B, there must be examples of those other three doubled die coins without the anomaly.

Doubled Dies occur when the conical shaped die blank jostles when the single squeeze technique the US Mint uses to minimize doubled die coin varieties malfunctions.

The Doubling shows on the large semicircular window above the center door, the center door, the door to the right of the center door and inside the left portion of the long left window.

The last two pictures are for the four coins offered seperately. You will receive one of the coins pictured there. Discount for multiples. Visit our store for more.

Check out the other Doubled Dies I have discovered and will be listing!
