2023 P JEFFERSON NICKEL Multiple error coin. Obv and Rev Clashed Dies Including a confirmed Doubled Die Reverse attributed WDDR-045 which has doubling in 5 different places. The Clash is much like the Atypical Die Clash 2016 ADC-5c-2016P-01 on maddieclashes.com. This happens when a planchet is struck after the obverse and reverse collide without a planchet between. Some elements of each die are transposed onto each other. The coins struck after that have this new design until retired or polished away.

Doubled Dies occur when the conical shaped die blank jostles when the single squeeze technique the US Mint uses to minimize doubled die coin varieties malfunctions.

The Doubling shows on the large semicircular window above the center door, the center door, the door to the right of the center door and inside the left portion of the long left window.
