Vintage 1950s Travel Vanity Set with a Jean Rogers Picture on the backside of the Mirror. She was an Actress, most famous for Flash Gordon! This set is Rare! It has beautiful brown swirl plastic containers for soap, toothbrush etc. Also many brushes and a comb! A travel Mirror with a Jean Rogers picture on one side. This set all comes in a leather case! Issues to Report: It appears to be missing one piece. I would guess it was a nail clipper. The leather case shows ware to the outside binding. Also has scrapes and scratches. The plastic cases are in good shape and few of them are bent or warped slightly but still display and work well. The brushes are in good condition, some scrapes and scratches to the wooden handles. The mirror has No Chips No Cracks but does have some surface rust to the right Metal mirror holder See picture #21 for close up. Please see all the pictures for the best description of Condition! A Bit of History: Jean Rogers was an American actress, born on March 25, 1916, in Belmont, Massachusetts. She starred in many films and television series in the 1930s and 1940s, and is best known for her role as Dale Arden in the 1936 science fiction film "Flash Gordon."

Rogers started her acting career in the theater, but quickly transitioned to film after signing a contract with 20th Century Fox. She appeared in several films for the studio, including "Charlie Chan on Broadway" and "Torchy Blane..Playing with Dynamite."

Rogers' most famous role came in 1936, when she was cast as Dale Arden in the film "Flash Gordon." The movie, which was based on the popular comic strip of the same name, was a huge success, and Rogers became an instant star.

After "Flash Gordon," Rogers continued to work in films, including "The Man in the Iron Mask" and "The Mystery of Edwin Drood." She also appeared in several television series, including "Perry Mason" and "The Adventures of Wild Bill Hickok."

Rogers retired from acting in the late 1950s and lived a quiet life until her death on February 24, 1991, in Sherman Oaks, California at the age of 74.

Condition: This Set is being sold in Incomplete missing a piece, good Preowned Used AS-IS Condition. It appears to be missing one piece. I would guess it was a nail clipper.
