Old reception brass bell in the shape of a turtle.

Made in 1950 approx. by the BOJ house in Eibar, Spain.

It has been winded up and works flawlessly, providing a unique touch to your establishment.

It has a wind-up mechanism at the bottom, and when you press down on the tail or head of the turtle, the bell rings.

The shell presents a beautiful damascene artwork of Don Quixote riding his horse and Sancho Panza riding his mule.  Both fictional characters from the novel " Don Quixote de La Mancha" written by Spanish author Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra in 1605.

At the bottom and engraved in the metal, we see the patent numbers and BOJ, Eibar, Spain.

It is preserved in excellent condition.

Except for one screw missing on the tail, the bell does not require any additional parts. It works and sounds perfectly.  Old hotel reception or front desk bell.  Add a touch of whimsy to your space with this delightful collectible piece.
