This is a special one of a kind piece. Charcoal on thin cardboard, signed Modigliani in the lower right and inscribed Paul Alexander. The verso has several gallery labels including one from Del Chiaro Giullo, and Gallerie d'Art Modern. There is also an ink signature (or stamp), Paul Alexander on the verso.
   Paul Alexander is well documented as a patron and friend of Modigliani from 1907-1914.

                     Private American collection until 2007.

This piece does not have authentication by the Modigliani Foundation. Sold as "attributed to Modigliani" based on pHD approval paperwork included." That is reflected in the pricing.
