For sale is an original Louis Prang Chromolithograph titled The Barefooted Boy from a work by Eastman Johnson. This piece has it's ornate Walnut frame with gold border. The back has the gallery label of James S. Earle & Sons - Earle's Galleries, No. 816 Chestnut St., Philadelphia. There is also a label reading Prang's American Chromos, Whittiers Barefooted Boy after Eastman Johnson, (I also have listed at this time Wild Fruit featuring the companion piece to this featuring the Bare Foot Girl by Geo. C. Lambdin). The large label is a list of Prang's Chromos, May 1st, 1872. The chromo is in good condition with some dark vertical lines to the left of the boy. It probably could benefit from a light cleaning. The picture measures 13 1/4" x 10". The frame measures 18 1/2" x 15 1/4". Please see the photos for details. A fine antique Prang Chromolithograph.
