Antique Thai Silver Buddha, rendered in incised and hammered sheet silver over wood & clay core. The Lord Buddha seated in padmasana with the soles of the feet upward and the hand gesture in bhumisparsa mudra (earth touching). At the top of the head is a cone shaped usnisa.  He sits on a tapered and layered pedestal with bands of incised decoration. He is complete with affixed tube to the back probably designed for a parasol. Small losses, edge wear and dents to the silver foil, other minor signs of wear and age, fine condition. 5 in. High x 3 in. Wide x 2-1/4 in. Deep. (13 x 7.7 x 5.8 cm ).
