Mother Cicely Paperbark is an expert horticulturalist and grows almost everything you can think of in her walled cottage garden. She has fruit trees, raised beds filled with vegetables and huge swathes of wildflower planting to keep the bees busy. Whenever you visit her home, you’ll spot vases of flowers on every surface, and the fruit bowl is always brimming!

Father Chervil Paperbark trained as a chef but now hones his cooking skills on a fantastic array of fruit tarts and vegetable pastry slices using the produce grown by his wife in their cottage garden. The Brick Oven Bakery on the village high street are regular customers for his pastry slices and tarts, which always sell out early on in the day as they are so popular.

Sister Angelica Paperbark doesn’t have a green finger on any of her paws! Her mother is constantly trying to encourage her out into the garden to help with pruning the fruit trees or pulling up the potatoes but Angelica simply isn’t interested. She’s a very studious girl and likes to sit at the kitchen island while her father is cooking, copying down his recipes neatly for him in a smart note book. Angelica dreams of writing a cook book of her own when she is older.
