Keith Munro's pots are made using the techniques of African pottery and Raku, but the clay used is stoneware and non-porous.  The pots are fired using a gas kiln and the Raku method, so that the surface is blackened and varied by the effect of the reduction firing in sawdust.

Born in 1958, Keith studied ceramics at Cardiff College of Art and set up his own pottery studio in Cardiff after a brief spell in America in the 1980s.  His pots are highly individual and found in private collections worldwide as well as museums such as MOMA, New York and the Pompidou Centre in Paris.
