This is an antique spoon by the well-known American silversmith, Albert Coles.  It is in the Jenny Lind pattern from 1850.

She was one of the most highly regarded singers of the 19th century, she performed in soprano roles in opera in Sweden and across Europe, and undertook an extraordinarily popular concert tour of the United States beginning in 1850. She was a member of the Royal Swedish Academy of Music from 1840.

This is an antique solid silver spoon from the Netherlands, known as a monkey spoon, with a dolphin marked used from around 1893 until 1893 to note Dutch made articles of silver of 833/1000 and above.

It is about 6-1/8" long.  These were made of 900/1000 silver, not quite sterling, but lovely and durable.

It weighs about 22.5 grams

It is engraved with initials on the front.

It is marked AC for Albert Coles.

Condition: Good condition, with some light wear and tarnish from normal age, use and handling. Please disregard any random red or other colored marks, they are reflection only.  Please see all photos and please feel free to ask any questions.
