1930s - 40s dove gray wool boucle princess coat with a big decorative bow on the breast, very padded shoulders, small pockets and a "National Recovery Board" for "Coat and Suit Industry" union label. The seaming on the back is quite beautiful and the coat's silhouette is very flattering. The bow is very loosely stitched (see photos). The shoulders have a subtle accent flap on the back of the armscye.

The previous seller removed the original fur trim along the bottom hem; there is slight discoloration along the edge where the fur used to be & stray basting threads/pin-holes where the fur was stitched on. The discoloration is subtle and a bit hard to see in the pictures but may be residue from the decaying fur. The 3-in-one vertical photo shows the hem with stray basting threads.

I also included an inside-out photo to show the coat's lining. There is also a detail photo of a small snag in the boucle near the front-edge of the coat.

There's also some photos of me wearing it; hopefully this helps with color accuracy as the gray is difficult to capture accurately with indoor lighting. I'm a too big & tall for this coat; my arms are quite long so the sleeve hem on most people should cover the wrist.

Here are the external measurements (please allow room for ease!):
My waist is 30" and it's too tight, I'd really recommend a 28" waist or smaller (especially going over other clothing!).

*FROM A HOME WITH CATS: I do try to keep them away from items I'm selling but it's small space. If you have an allergy please be aware there may be cat dander/allergens present.*
