Hello Everyone,

We all know this hobby started with brushed motors. And some of us are still using them in different applications as Vintage racing, Crawlers, Nostalgic builds, or cost effective RC running.

I still have and use brushed motors in most of my Tamiya vintage kits and Spec Club racing.

Well, what I have to offer you is:

I will rebuild your older brushed motor and make it like New again.

My service will include dismantling the motor, cleaning, checking the magnets, commutator, brushes, hood, bushings or bearings.

After the initial inspections and cleaning, I will then start to check the entire motor over for repairs and do what is needed.

Including with each rebuild, cut the commutator, install new brushes, clean and lube the bushings/bearings (install new if needed)

With the reinstallation of the armature, I will re-shim to proper tolerances for application for running of the motor.

I will also tune the motor with an Amp meter to make sure it’s running correctly before it leaves my work bench.

Upon testing and tuning, I will also break-in the brushes for quick installation on your end.

Upon sending your motor or motors to me, please let me know what application you are using this in and type of battery being used.

As this will help determine the brushes needed for proper operation

I will also cut the brushes to your needs, or give recommendations to you with application provided.

Most important is the knowing of what you are using the motor in and type of esc you run.

Some older motors and esc’s still use diodes which only allow forward rotation of the motor.

Installing a diode and using reverse on the ESC will cause damage, that’s why all info provided will be used accordingly

Every motor pictured has been cleaned and rebuilt by myself, and are in working order. These are just some of the motors I have in my collection.

And always looking to increase what I have for my enjoyment

To complete this process I have a Trinity Comm lathe, brush cutting jig, 80 amp ESC with test leads

I have been in the hobby for 30 plus years, Raced professionally for 3 different hobby shops, still currently building custom kits and providing repair services for motors, radio gear, ESC’s and cars / trucks.

In my vast 45 plus car collection, I still use and run Vintage kits from the 80’s that I purchased new back in the day

My first full hobby grade car at that time was a Tamiya Hornet, which I still have and use often, probably one of my most favorite cars to use.

If you have any questions of service provided, Please feel free to reach out to me at anytime

Cost of service will be $25 per motor, $10 for shipping back to you

As you can see pictures I have plenty of different brush options, multiple spring tensions, shims, capacitors, and motor leads

can be installed if requested. ( motor leads 4 inches )

If you have a motor you would like to own, Let me know, as I have over 70 motors in my collection. I’m in the process of rebuilding a lot of them to list for sale.
