Evergreen Technologies 586 133 Mhz Socket 3 Overdrive CPU
This CPU is an Evergreen Technologies 586 133 Mhz Socket 3 Overdrive CPU and was pulled from a working system.
It is a very rare "Overdrive" CPU for old Socket 3 mainboard which only have 5 volt CPU support.
Internally it uses the AMD 5x86 133 Mhz in combination with voltage regulation to be able to use it on older 5V socket 3 boards. You can of course use it on any "modern" socket 3 board with 3.3 volts as well. Just configure it like an AMD 5x86 133 Mhz.
It was tested on a Socket 3 mainboard and is working fine.
This Evergreen Technologies 586 133 Mhz CPU is as fast as the AMD 5x86 133 Mhz or about as fast as a Pentium 90 and is the optimal choice if you want to build a DOS retro system, e.g. to play Monkey Island(tm) and want to use your favourite socket 3 mainboard.
Under the picture you can find the specs of this CPU.
