This lot includes two copper-nickel Mexican 1 Peso coins from the year 1980. One side of each coin features the profile of José María Morelos y Pavon, who was a priest and leader of Mexico’s independence from Spain. The denomination and year 1980 are also shown on this side of the coin. The other side features an eagle facing left. The eagle is perched on a cactus and has a snake in its beak. The inscription “Estados Undos Mexicanos” forms a semicircle on this side of the coin. These coins would be a great addition to any world coin collection. The coins were circulated, and are uncertified and ungraded. While I do not know anything about errors or grading coins, these two coins seem quite shiny to me and in very good condition but please keep in mind that I am no expert. The coins were circulated so there are most likely scratches and other normal circulated wear. Please see the photographs for further condition details.
