This item is a relic of Conover's Trading Post in Wisdom, MT.
Conover's was a staple in our little hamlet for decades before being sold in 2012.

It served as the local place to buy fishing flies, hunting gear, and all sorts of western bits and pieces. Its vivid green storefront welcomed visitors with a broad mix of kitsch and heart. The items we have represent the last of the Conover's Collection of odd and iconic pieces of the west. The proprietor of the Goose N Bear coffee house in the newly named Hook and Horn building passed these items to us so that they can find forever homes.
