Published by the German publisher, J.F. Schreiber, the kit builds 1:300 scale model of the Zollverein XII coal mine in Essen, Germany.

The pithead frame of the Zollverein coal mine in Essen has been called th Eiffel Tower of the Ruhr. The tower was built between 1927 and 1932 and was made a Unesco World Heritage Site in 2002.

The completed model is over 18 inches high and depicts the pithead frame, machine halls and shaft hall.

The kit has good diagrams and English instructions. The kit comprises 4 sheets of A3 card.

The modeller cuts out the pieces, scores, bends, folds and curves them into the right shape before gluing them together. The result is a proper 3-D scale model.
