Marshal Joachim Murat

Hand-painted miniature portrait on porcelain plaque signed to the bottom right of each by artist Resch.

Portrait depicts Joachim Murat - Marshal of France and Admiral of France under the reign of Napoleon. He was also the 1st Prince Murat, Grand Duke of Berg from 1806 to 1808, and King of Naples from 1808 to 1815.

On the back of the plaque is a manufacturing mark of Hutschenreuther porcelain factory. This factory was the primary provider of blank porcelain plaques during 19th century.

The portrait is presented in small pierced gilt 19th century bronze frame.

DIMENSIONS   5.25" W x 5.25" H x 0.75" D (measures frame).

CONDITION   It in very excellent condition for the age without any chips, cracks or repairs.
