New/unused/unopened still tied to its resting place, 2001 Johnny Lightning Thunderjet 500 Willys "FLAMED" Gasser Slot Car.

This is a new/unused/unopened slot car and for that reason operational status is unknown. The jewel case is in good shape as well. There is loose and peeling labels to the bottom portion of the case. What you see in the pictures is what I visually see. The car pictured is the exact same one that will be packaged and shipped.
