This antique spoon is by Gotham, but unmarked. It features a beautiful shell pattern in sterling silver. With a Victorian style, this spoon is believed to date back to the late 1880s, specifically around 1885. It is a perfect addition to any collection of antique silver. The spoon is in good condition and has been well preserved over the years.

The handle is stamped sterling. But it is darkened, tarnished. There is no mark of Gorham, no hallmarks. I have had others,

I cannot say with 100% positivity it’s Gorham. Just 98%..

I never clean sterling or Native American items. I can bring the value down

dramatically. I leave this to the new owner to polish this sterling spoon.

As with all Antique sterling and serviceware. There will be signs of use and where. They’ve been used for 100+ years. There will be scratches, discoloration, and other cosmetic issues. This spoon is not in mint condition. But it’s very nice.

This is spoon is identical to a reference of “1885 Gorham #23 -sterling silver, shell, sugar spoon”.

This spoon is Not marked Gorham.

It does have Gorham’s “STERLING” stamped on the handle.
