Detailed explanation

Matsumoku Blue Label Riviera manufactured in the late 1970s is now in stock! There is no serial number listed on the back of the head or on the label. For some reason, the label has "RIVIERAL DELUXE" stamped on it. In the catalog, it has a maple body, but it has an exotic heathered grain with a flame that is not typical of maple. (This was only the surface layer, and when I looked at the back side with a mirror, it was normal maple.)Epiphone guitars from this period had labels that were quite irregular, sometimes not, so I was wondering why it was called ``RIVIERAL'' or ``DELUXE.'' , I couldn't get to the truth. These various unclear points are probably one of the charms of Matsumoku World that never ceases to fascinate us. There is an engraving on the back of the pickup in the same font as the label, which suggests that it is the original, but the shape of the counterbore is a bit unnatural (expanded?), so there was a time when a different pickup was installed. It may be. In addition, the cell has been re-wound and the sides repainted, the POT has been replaced with CTS, and the switch and jack have been replaced, making it a product that can be used right away. . There are scratches, dents, signs of use, and dullness/rust on the metal parts. The truss rod works well, and there is plenty of room for adjustment in both the forward and reverse warp correction directions. The warp of the neck has been adjusted with a rod, and it is almost straight. The frets have a history of rubbing and are generally low. There is no problem with playing.
